Annual Penn Proton Course to still take place in November 2020.

Penn’s Radiation Oncology department continues to follow recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization related to Covid-19. The health and safety of our attendees is our main priority. We are currently preparing for possible options such as a virtual live-streaming course and an onsite course that will be presented via a live feed for those who are unable to attend. We will continue to share more information as details for the course are confirmed.

Testimonials

“The Penn Proton Course is an excellent opportunity to learn about the clinical application of proton therapy from experienced and knowledgeable proton experts at the highly respected Roberts Proton Therapy Center at Penn Medicine. The high quality of presentations, in addition to the impressive facility tour, provide a valuable experience for attendees interested in broadening their knowledge of proton therapy.”

  • Jennifer Maggiore, Executive Director, National Association for Proton Therapy

“The content provided by the Penn proton course faculty is essential for anyone considering, planning, building, or running a successful proton therapy program. Physicians, physicists, therapists and other Roberts Center professionals share proven insights into building the proton team, contracting with insurers, managing revenue cycle, partnering with vendors, marketing services, and providing consistent top notch quality in all aspects of the medical and human experience. Highlights of the program include a tour of the proton facility and its machinery, demonstrations of the center’s cutting edge virtual reality program, and a talk by a proton-treated cancer patient. My team and I could not have asked for more.”

  • Randall A. Oyer, MD, Medical Director, Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, Lancaster General Health

“Being an exhibitor at the annual Penn Proton Course was a rewarding experience for us, both as a business and as people. A course like the one Penn offers isn’t just about the mechanics of Proton Beam Therapy but also the work, staff, and patients that make up a world-class organization. Nothing we’ve experienced goes as far as the Penn Proton course in demonstrating the dedication of this amazing place and their desire and passion to bring that professionalism to everyone around them. It’s made our work better and strengthened our resolve to bring the best of ourselves to our work every day.”
